Video Killed the Radio Star(s)!
During Season One of the podcast, Colin and Matt got a little creative and made a few videos that were posted on Youtube. You can still find the videos on The Colin and Matt Show Youtube Channel but for ease of access, you can also find them on this here page.
One of the biggest videos we’ve produced to date was also our first. Stemming from a forfeit Matt had to do for failing to predict the Euro 2008 results, Colin and Matt created the Wham tribute.
The premise is simple, three Wham tunes mixed together and Colin (Andrew Ridgeley) and Matt (George Michael) play dress up. Pay particular attention to Matt’s amazing miming skills. For extra lols turn on the annotations.
Next up we have Colin and Matt’s first attempt at animation. While searching for other podcasts to steal features from, they came across Grant Quiggly’s epic – Dr Phil Sucks and Much More Comedy. This here video is one part of that podcast, animated in a crude style.
The thing to remember is the audio is used verbatim, all pauses are as the original. The animation is crap because Matt has no skills. Most people just didn’t get it.
For the final video from Season One, Colin and Matt took a leaf out of the Record Company Big Book Of Dead Clever Ideas and released a remix of a classic.
This is the same Wham video at the top of this page, only sped up with the Benny Hill music in the background. Simple concept for an easy laugh. That is all.
